Every year during the first week of October the Les DeMerle Amelia Island Jazz Festival brings exciting world-class jazz entertainment to Fernandina Beach, FL in styles including Contemporary, Big Band, Latin, Swing, Dixieland, Blues and much more.
Come see Grammy award winning flautist Néstor Torres perform for our 20th anniversary. He came to the United States from his native Puerto Rico and studied in New York. As a leading Latin jazz flautist he became part in Miami of a flourishing music scene that included Gloria and Emilio Estefan and the legendary bassist Israel “Cachao” López.
The Amelia Island Jazz Festival provides a rich, diverse cultural offering to the Amelia Island area by exposing thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds to the sounds, excitement and vitality of great jazz.
