The Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards selected Amelia Island as one of the ten best islands in the U.S., joining Hawaiian favorites Maui, Kauai as well as Florida Gulf Coast pick Longboat Key and sister Sea Islands Hilton Head, South Carolina and Sea Island, Georgia.

More than 128,000 travelers took the survey, the largest response in the Awards' history. Reviewers singled out the beauty of the "seemingly endless green space" and praised the Isand's hospitable locals and abundant family-friendly charm.
