Concours Week kicks off Thursday, March 10, with the Bonhams Amelia Island Auction at Fernandina Beach Golf Club, followed by the Gooding & Company Auction at Omni Amelia Island Plantation on March 11. An assortment of related events, such as the popular "Cars & Coffee at the Concours", presented by Heacock Classic Car Insurance, will punctuate the week.
International crowds will be drawn to the legendary Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance events at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island and the Golf Course of Amelia Island March 11 - 13. Experience the signature Concours d'Elegance from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 13th.
Closing Concours Week with a heart-thumping bang, 2016 will also see the first annual Amelia Island Vintage Gran Prix, March 17-20. This road race at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport will pay homage to the 1960s sports car races which once took place on these runways. Now, with the FAA approval, the plans have been rolled out for a 2.1-mile airport road course.
While lodging is in high demand, rooms are still available at The Villas of Omni Amelia Island Plantation during Concours Week, with rates
from $539. You'll be perfectly positioned to enjoy all the week has to offer, esconced in the resort's pristine beaches and nature.
