Fishing & Boating

Captain Terry Lacoss has operated the Amelia Angler since 1978 and organized the Amelia Island Charter Boat Association in 1991. Captain Lacoss specializes in freshwater and saltwater fishing from bass to billfish. Sailing and sightseeing charters are also organized by Captain Terry Lacoss and his staff including Mary Lee Forehand, Kara Riggs, Mary Lacoss and Lisa Mills.  Captain Lacoss is the only local angler to win money on the B.A.S.S. tour, IFA Redfish Tour, ESPN Redfish Tour, SKA Kingfish Tour and also first place honors outdoor writing by the Florida Press Association.

Florida Sportsman TV recently noted that, "Captain Terry Lacoss is one of the most knowledgeable and at the same time nicest fishing experts you’ll ever find. He’s the total fishing man. He runs Amelia Angler Outfitters, and also is an accomplished outdoor writer, having authored the books Sportsman’s Best: Redfish and the Southern Kingfish Association-produced Kingfish book. Captains Terry & his son Terry David Lacoss are one of the most successful father / son fishing teams in the country, having won national bass, kingfish and redfish events including the ESPN Cocodrie, Redfish Cup, Johns Pass Kingfish and Florida Bass Trails."
