The Amelia Island Book Festival kicks off its three-day celebration of the written word with a luncheon at Walker's Landing, located at Omni Amelia Island Plantation resort.  What could be more fitting than to launch “An Amelia Island Encounter—Romance, Action and Mystery” with a dynamic hero, bestselling author and this years Keynote speaker, Adriana Trigiani. Trigiani will be introduced by AIBF Honorary Chairman and New York Times and #1 International Bestselling Author, David Baldacci, and will discuss her writing career, strokes of good fortune and her latest book.

On Friday, attend a writers' workshop run by Steve Berry and his wife Elizabeth to support Authors in Schools Literacy Program.  Later that evening, at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort, Steve will 'face off' against fellow writers Lee Child, Jennifer Armentrout, Karin Slaughter, and Sherry Rinker at the Author Faceoff Dinner and Gala.  With a cocktail reception, sit-down dinner and music, this promises to be an evening of literary rock-star proportions.

Saturday at the Fernandina Beach Middle School, brings the popular Authors' Expo and Readers' Extravaganza, a family festival and celebration of the written word.  Food, fun, entertainment and activities contests, prizes for kids and adults throughout the day.
