Amelia Island Thanks Florida Teachers with Special Rates, Discounts
AMELIA ISLAND (June 16, 2009) – In appreciation of the state’s hard-working educators, Florida’s Amelia Island is offering special rates and discounts to all Florida teachers. In partnership with the Amelia Island Convention and Visitors Bureau, six of the island destination’s accommodators are participating, offering deals that put teachers at the “head of the class.”
Florida teachers can take advantage of special discounts at the following locations:
The Addison on Amelia (www.addisononamelia.com) is offering a “Back to School Special” for teachers only. Valid August 1 through September 31, the bed and breakfast is offering a 15 percent discount on room rates for those staying at least two nights. This discount cannot be combined with other offers.
Amelia Hotel at the Beach (www.ameliahotel.com) is offering a weekday rate for teachers of $79 per night (plus tax) and weekend day rate of just $99 per night (plus tax) on standard guest rooms. Upgrades to other room types may be available for an extra fee. These rates are valid through November 30, 2009. Blackout dates include Fourth of July weekend, Labor Day weekend and the Florida vs. Georgia college football game weekend (Oct. 30-31).
Fairbanks House (www.fairbankshouse.com) is pleased to offer card-carrying teachers our "You Do the Math" package. Second night 20 percent off, third night 30 percent off. Discount is applied to regular room rates and is valid anytime except holiday periods and special events. Mention package when booking. Package expires on March 1, 2010.
The Florida House Inn (www.floridahouseinn.com) is offering a 10 percent discount for Florida teachers. The discount is valid through August 15, 2009.
The Hoyt House (www.hoythouse.com) is offering a 10 percent discount for Florida teachers. The discount is valid through December 31, 2009.
The Residence Inn – Amelia Island (www.residenceinnameliaisland.com) is offering teachers a Government Rate of $89 (plus tax) on Studio and One Bedroom Suites. The offer is valid through January 31, 2010, excluding the Florida vs. Georgia college football game weekend, and New Years Eve. Upgrades are available.
At the Summer Beach Resort (www.summerbeach.com), Florida teachers who stay two nights will get the third night free in select two-bedroom ocean or resort view condominiums. The offer is valid August 15 through October 15, with no blackout dates, including Labor Day.
