AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (April 22, 2009) – On May 21, 2009, the nationally-renowned Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival (AICMF) will kick off its eighth season, spanning 25 days and featuring show stopping classical music performances appealing to a variety of audiences. Set among northeast Florida’s ultimate cultural destination, visitors can experience the festival first-hand at numerous intimate and historic venues throughout Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island.
Every year, between 50 and 60 internationally-acclaimed artists return to Amelia Island to perform and participate in 20 events throughout May and June. Headliners of the 2009 Festival include the Juilliard and Guarneri String Quartets, Jennifer Koh, Bobby McDuffie, Anne Akiko Meyers, Andres Diaz, Anne-Marie McDermott and the Eroica Trio.
