Dream of getting married on an Appalachian crystal sand beach with a backdrop of the pristine waters of the Atlantic Ocean? Being with the one you love on a sandy beach with waves crashing in the distance conjures up fairytale romance at its best. Amelia Island beach weddings are as close to perfect as you can get. To have your own Amelia Island beach wedding, just choose your beach access point and start planning – a permit is not required. We do ask a few things of you though. If you use chairs, an arbor or any other set-up items, please break these down and smooth the sand out after the ceremony. Because sea turtles nest between May 1st and October 31st on our beaches, we not only ask that the sand remain smooth, but also that lighting or flash photography not be used pre-dawn or post-dusk during this time period. Balloons, string, alcohol, open flame, and cooking is not allowed on the beach.
