Amelia River Golf Club Adds GPS
Amelia River Golf Club has upgraded its golf carts to an all-electric fleet featuring Global Satellite Positioning Systems (GPS) by Prolink. The upgrade gives golfers the newest and most up-to-date carts golf has to offer. The GPS system allows golfers to better navigate the course and aids in shot selection and pace of play. Additionally, the equipment allows players to contact the Pro Shop for emergency assistance, to request a ranger, and to call the beverage cart. Now if it could just find your ball... For a list of all the golf available on Amelia Island, visit outdoor activities.

Dining Spotlight: Café Karibo
The casual and eclectic Café Karibo is an island favorite, located in downtown Fernandina Beach just off Centre Street. The charming café mixes a relaxed ambiance with an incredible selection of menu items. With dishes like Greek Quesadillas, Chipotle Chicken Melt, and Pig & Apple sandwiches, visitors can feast on a spicy combination of soups, salads, wraps, and a full espresso bar. Guests can enjoy their meals outdoors under a large garden patio shaded by a huge oak tree or indoors in the face’s colorful dining room. Café Karibo is open seven days a week, and offers a special Sunday Brunch. Currently, the restaurant is constructing its own micro-brewery. Scheduled to be open by the beginning of December, the brewery will allow Café Karibo to offer it’s own unique beers, three different kinds to start, named after local people and events. Check out Café Karibo at www.cafekaribo.com.
