This vibrant fusion of art, culinary experieces and craft cocktails is a can’t-miss event for artists, collectors and foodies alike.  Here are 6 reasons you don't want to miss it:

1) You’ll be first to this party.  This is the inaugural Cocktails & Canvases event, a singular weekend where visual arts, creative cocktails and culinary explorations come together in a luxurious coastal setting.

2) The Cocktail Paired Dinner and Art Show with Jose Garcia will take place in the Sprouting Project, a gorgeous space that encompasses a greenhouse, apiary, and barrel room, All weekend long, the menus incorporate the “localvore” flair, utilizing homegrown ingredients from the resort’s state-of-the-art aquaponic greenhouse at The Sprouting Project  (Included in VIP Experience Package, Friday November 11)

3) Try your hand (and brush) at creating your own painting under the tutelage of native Floridian and Jacksonville-based artist Allison Watson.  Watson is an experienced teacher and her work can found in over six hundred private, public and corporate collections nationally. (Saturday, November 12th, included in the VIP Experience Package)

4) You don’t have to stay the night to experience the Main Event, an intimate cocktail-paired dinner that showcases the creativity and passion of Omni Amelia Island's culinary team as led by Executive Chef Daven Wardynski. Each course will be paired with a piece of art as shown in The Cummer Musuem’s Chef’s Canvas Cookbook. The piece created by José Garcia, the prior night will also be incorporated for one of the courses. (Saturday, November 12, included as part of the VIP, Main Event Package experience. Individual tickets may also be purchased here.)

5) Look behind the scenes of creating mixed media pieces with Amelia Island artist Charlie Leniston, whose work has been collected in Europe and around the USA. (Saturday, November 12th, included in the VIP Experience Package)

6) Enjoy an art-infused stroll by the lake at The Shops of Omni Amelia Island Plantation where local artists will be showcasing their talents with various forms of art from  10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Mediums include photography, painting, sculpture, mixed media, pastels, printmaking and more!  All art will be available for purchase.
